Why we started
Often short-term rentals and small hotels lack the quality control, services, and amenities that guests seek and enjoy while staying at expensive hotels.
By employing technology and scale to eliminate inefficiencies, SOKZO is building a new hospitality business model under one brand. Facilitating leisure travel by delivering the highest quality lodging experiences in unique locations at accessible rates.
Where are we today
SOKZO today is operating three projects consisting of 20 rooms and is expecting to start operations on four additional projects in 2023 bringing the total amount to 60 rooms.
In addition, SOKZO owns and plans to upgrade 50 rooms spread across three buildings located in Miramar, Condado, and Old San Juan currently renting long term and develop 13 beach fronts lots located in Maunabo under the SOKZO brand in the near future.
Where are we going
As we scale, SOKZO envisions a network of unique locations spread across the island. Guests staying at any of our SOKZO branded properties can enjoy the common areas of selected properties and have access to an array of services administered from a centralized platform.
We are building the most recognizable local hospitality brand by delivering beautifully designed accommodations for travelers seeking a better way to explore the island.
Who we are
SOKZO is our expression of hospitality – laidback, accessible, fun, and unique. We are a small Puerto Rican-based team, dreaming up, designing, and building the type of cool places where we would love to stay.
Meet the Team
- A real estate investment, development, and hospitality professional with over ten years of experience in New York, Costa Rica and Panama.
- Responsible for the company’s day-to-day management, including finance, strategy, branding, marketing, and operations.
- A real estate development and construction professional with over 15 years of experience in Puerto Rico.
- Responsible for all the design and construction management of the company.
- A licensed lawyer and co-founder of 2Go Storage, a statewide pop-up storage rental business.
- Responsible for all logistics-related matters, including the importing, storing, assembly,
and transportation of the PODS.
